When people ask me what I do

When people ask me what I do, my answer is “Hypnosis”. Then I’m amazed by the reactions I get from people. One told me “I don’t want to look into your eyes because I don’t want to be hypnotized” another said “Really? So you can make me quack like a duck and bark like a dog?” Other people are just fascinated by the idea that I can pick things from their brain and how their secrets can be revealed to me without my having any control over it.

I’m here to tell you that none of the above responses are correct.

Hypnosis is a state of mind, you actually go about your everyday activities and some of your activities are unconscious or performed while in trance. For example, have you ever missed your exit on the freeway and then realized you did so because you were too much into your thoughts?  Have you traveled home and didn’t remember the way you got there?

The most important thing about hypnosis is change. This means if you want to get rid of a bad habit, you can make that change with your own power – your subconscious mind.

Hypnosis will solve a conflict between the conscious mind and the subconscious mind. What do I mean by that?  An example is of a man who starts a new business with great expectations to succeed. For some reason does not become successful, instead he struggles with paying his bills and hardly makes it.

A conflict was created between his conscious mind telling him he needs more business, not to just survive, but also to become successful and, and his subconscious mind telling him something different. Maybe telling him “you are not good enough,” “you do not deserve this”, or “you can’t make more money than your father,” whatever reasons he stored from childhood. We call these “limited beliefs.” They stop us from reaching our full potential.
